“Problem of Unemployment has taken a serious turn and there is apprehension of its becoming still more grim in the future”, according to the Report by the Bhagwati Committee. More so in the North East region of India, where the rate of unemployment is so high that it is heading towards serious repercussions on many other facets of our society.
According to the Planning Commission Report, “Vision 2020” the Service Industry will take lead by generating maximum direct and indirect employment for our youth in the coming years. Keeping this in view, our efforts are aimed to bring the north east youth in the main stream of our country through direct and indirect employment. In this direction, the North East Council, Govt of India has taken initiative to help northeast region unemployed graduate youth to undergo special training with Service Industry modules and to equip them to join Service Industry in India and abroad.
